BODY WISDOM FOR WHEN LIFE LIFE’S YOU
Ways to keep on track and navigate complex times with greater freedom, confidence and ease.
Feel Supported to Hear Your Body’s Deep Wisdom
Life has a way of life-ing us.
Stress. Loss. Relationships. Health challenges. Family responsibilities. Unexpected twists and turns.
Sometimes we simply find ourselves feeling stuck, overwhelmed or not quite ourselves.
At SJ Kinesiology, we weave together a love of the Chinese Five Elements, kinesiology (muscle testing), the latest understanding of the nervous system and a deep respect for the natural world.
Through this work, Sarah-Jayne helps people reconnect with their body’s deep wisdom, navigate life’s changing seasons and move forward with greater freedom, confidence and gratitude.
You don’t have to do it all alone.
Gentle reminders, practical wisdom and ways to support yourself through life’s seasons are shared in our monthly newsletter.
ABOUT SARAH-JAYNE
I work with people at great depth because I have been there myself.
Life has “life’d” me. A lot.
Like many of the people I support, I know what it feels like to navigate stress, change, uncertainty and those times when life simply doesn’t go according to plan.
My own journey has taught me the importance of listening to the body, respecting life’s seasons and understanding that healing and change happen at different paces.
My journey with kinesiology began in 2003 and I have been in professional practice since 2006.
I am a member of the Kinesiology Federation, the British Complimentary Medical Association and I am fully insured by Balens Ltd.
Above all, I love witnessing what becomes possible when people feel safe, seen and truly supported.
TRANSFORMATION
Today, she weaves together Five Element wisdom from Chinese acupuncture theory, kinesiology techniques and the latest understandings in neurobiology and nervous system regulation.
Working one-to-one in person in Crediton and online across the globe, Sarah-Jayne supports clients through life’s changing seasons with warmth, curiosity and compassion.
She also teaches foundation and professional kinesiology courses, core subjects and CPDs, sharing over two decades of experience with students and practitioners.
Above all, she loves witnessing the transformation that becomes possible when people feel safe, seen and truly supported.
Because when we feel supported, we are better able to hear the wisdom of our bodies, navigate change and reconnect with the fullness of who we are.

5 ELEMENT WISDOM
Here at SJ Kinesiology, the 5-Element Map from acupuncture theory is rooted in everything we do – as it gifts us wisdom in regard to achieving balance in our body, our daily routines and seasonal living.
Which Element might need attention or focus at the moment?
Read the following descriptions and see what jumps out at you…
FIRE
Do you feel energised, excited, enthusiastic, want to laugh or feel lacking in hope, dampened down or tired?
EARTH
Do you feel rooted, nourished, solid and grounded or disconnected, wobbly or worried about the future?
METAL
Do you feel flexible, free, able to breathe, connected to spirit, or sad want to cry, that you are holding-on or regretful?
WATER
Maybe you have feelings of flowing, good boundaries and gentleness, or fear and anxiety?
WOOD
Do you feel as though you want to get going, move forward, that you hold a dream or do you feel resentful, irritated, angry, as though you can’t get on or feel ‘stuck-in-the-mud’?
“Sarah-Jayne has supported me to understand how to listen to and look out for clues in my body. Her calm and curious approach has allowed me to work at my own pace to bring the magic and wonder back to my life without dredging up the past. She has allowed me to reclaim my power of intuition to build new relationships with the world around me and created a safe haven to explore the things I find most difficult or troubling. I can’t wait to start the training as the next step together. Thank you for being my guiding light in the dark times and showing me how to develop my own inner guidance from my heart.”

Seasons of Life
A reflection on a longer 'life season' I wrote last year. Today is world menopause day; such an important part of half the populations life. It's starting to get more understanding and consideration, slowly. For me personally it is being quite the journey (peri, just...
Nervous System Regulation
As the main care giver to a complex need young adult, my nervous system regulation is crucial, for both of us. Using any respite time I get well is what stops this particular weeble from falling over. And so, I am at my yurt for 36 hours (possibly 48, if the winds...
What is the Supraspinatus?
The Supraspinatus is a relatively small muscle of the upper back and is one of the four rotator cuff muscles. We call this muscle 'fig leaves' in the foundation training, as the line of motion is moving the hands into the mid line to 'cover your modesty'. This muscle...
